| Summary: | Esteban Peicovich introduces Gianni Siccardi as a great poet and as a life's traveler. Siccardi was born in Banfield, Argentina on September 17, 1933 and has 2 children, Eugenio and Giannina. He has dedicated his life to poetry, singing, violin, languages, theater, painting, etc. Siccardi reads one of his son's poems and describes the act of writing poetry as a pleasure that requires individuals to stop thinking about anything else except infinity, tranquility, and light. Siccardi talks about his childhood and says he only remembers some images of his house including the backyard and a cactus that his grandfather planted. He also says that during his adolescence, a boy writing poetry would have been seen as weird and possibly homosexual, however, that did not stop him from writing poetry. Siccardi also gives his point of view of Borges as a good story teller but not a good poet. |
