| Summary: | Esteban Peicovich interviews Angelica Gentile, a school teacher and language teacher, about the importance of reading for young generations, and the innovative ways to encourage reading and to teach children to enjoy literature. Gentile talks about her project that was selected to be presented at the Second International Conference for the Promotion of Reading and Books. Her project involved working with the classics with pre-school children (Dante's Inferno) and the results obtained during the study. She also talks about her work as an Italian translator and her current project translating a book by Graciela Montes, Cuatro calles y un problema, to Italian. The interview ends with Gentile reading poems written by Raúl Zeleniuk, a young Argentine poet who recently died. |
