Item Description:	Cover title. The map described in this portfolio was originally part of Adolf Stieler's Hand-Atlas über alle Theile der Erde. The title of the map was Die Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika in 6 Blättern. It was drawn by August Heinrich Petermann and was revised in 1885 by Hermann Habenicht. Its scale is 1:3,700,000. Contains 17 enlarged map sections with the scale 1;2,350,000 to accompany the original 8 enlarged map sections with scale 1:3,700,000, 20 leaves of text and 4 folded maps.
