The text was cast monotype cast by Michael and Winifred Bixler in Monotype Bembo, and printed on a special making of Zerkall number 7625. Bound by Craig Jensen and Gary McLerran. Woodwork by Dick Sorenson. The wood used in printing and binding came from Farm 590."--Colophon. Bound in quarter leather Medieval style laced wooden board binding. Contained in an enclosure along with a separate box of 25 specimens (one for each species represented). Also printed in a standard edition of 120 in 2007. The Cushing Library/Lowman/Book Design copy contains a additional print used as a letter of transmittal from Gaylord Schanilec. The Cushing Library/Lowman/Book Design copy is lettered "R" and signed by the authors Purchased for the Al Lowman Printing Arts Collection and Research Archive by The Cushing Library. The Cushing Library Lowman copy is part of the Craig Jensen Collection. The Cushing Library Lowman copy is unlettered, one of 6 deluxe AP copies made for project participants; quarter tawed goatskin over oak laced oak boards; in drop-spine box with oak tray with sample of each wood type from the book. |
