The collation given by L.E. Kastner in his edition of Drummond's Poetical works, 1913 (volume 1, p. lxxxvi-lxxxviii) lists only one portrait, and that as "inserted". The frontispiece in the LC copy is a large portrait, with arms below, and inscription: William Drummond of Hawthornden. born 1585. dyed J649. The second portrait, preceding the life, is small, with name and dates around the oval, the dates written J585 and J649.
The Cushing Library/Rare Books copy has only one port., the larger, as the frontispiece
