| Summary: | DVD 1 contains episodes of two anime television series based on the Zoids range of mecha model kits produced by TOMY. The stories are set in the far reaches of the Milky Way on the planet Zi. On Zi, there are metallic life-forms known as Zoids which possess powerful fighting capabilities. In Zoids, chaotic century, a teenage boy called Van Flyheight discovers a a mysterious girl named Fiona and an Organoid named Zeke (Sieg). Van discovers that Zeke has the ability to merge with a Zoid, increasing its fighting power, and with that skill, Van and Fiona set off to discover the secrets of Fiona's past. In the second part of this series, Zoid, Guardian Force, Van Flyheight and his fellow Guardian Force fighters encounter a Hiltz, a powerful enemy with knowledge of ancient Zoidian lore. In Zoids, new century, many years have passed since the first series, and zoids are no longer used for warfare, but used by humans in a seres of battle-competitions and tournaments, run by the Zoid Battle Commission. The series charts the rise of the Blitz Team through various competitions of the Zoid Battle Commission, and the team's efforts to avoid conflict with the criminal organization known as the Backdraft Group. DVD 2 contains episodes of two more anime series. In Zoids fuzors, a delivery boy named RD who works for a company called Mach Storm, based in Blue City. Mach Storm also moonlights as a member of a Zoids battling team. RD learns the ropes of becoming a good Zoid pilot, and eventually discovers the abilities to fuse with other Zoids. As the series progresses, RD and the rest of Mach Storm become aware of a conspiracy to take control of Blue City, and fight to stop it. Zoids Genesis is the fourth and final anime installment of the Zoids franchise. It tells the story of Ruuji Familon, a young boy on Planet Zi who finds a Liger-type Zoid during a salvage mission. Initially, his village is attacked by Bio-Raptor Bio-Zoids, and later a Bio-Megaraptor. After the village generator is destroyed in combat, Ruuji takes the Murasame Liger Zoid and leaves the village alongside his companions, Ra-Kan and Rei Mii, to find a generator mechanic to save the village. |
