Summary:A notice that Pedro Jaso, a student of "Scottish doctrine" (that is, the doctrine of John Duns Scotus), will defend six difficult philosophical questions, under the direction of Fray Joaquín Bernardo Balmaseda, lecturer in philosophy at the Colegio de San Buenaventura in Tlatelolco, Mexico City. Unfortunately, "dies erit" (it will be the day of) is left blank, and there appears to be a misprint in the year, so it is uncertain exactly when the defense took place.

Title enclosed in decorative border; additional border dividing text into two columns at the bottom of the page; 5 woodcut vignettes surrounding a poem in Latin.
At bottom: "Defendentur in hoc S. D. D. Bonaventurae Minorum Collegio (D. O. M. ejusque Purissima Guadalupana Matre Virgine Maria., ab originali labe prorsus immuni; necnon SS. PP. NN. Dominico, & Francisco faventibus). Dies erit [blank]. Praeses aderit P. Fr. Joachim Bernardus Balmaseda, inibi Philosophae Lector."
Date in imprint appears as Anni Dñi M. DCC. XXIX [1729]; however, the printer (Felipe de Zúñiga y Ontiveros) was born in 1717, and his period of activity 1764-1793 (per Medina, cited below), making this date unlikely.
