Summary:	Father Carlo Mascolo is a missionary who lives in a village in the heart of Africa, but for some time has felt the symptoms of a spiritual crisis. He decides to return to Rome to speak to his superiors. His spiritual father calms him and urges him to spend some time at home to find himself through the warmth of loved ones. He arrives at his father's house and finds that the Mascolos are unexpectedly entangled with the mysterious Lara, who brings upheaval to family life and especially to Carlo.
