Each poem was also issued separately; the collection is sometimes found with the poems in a different order and with different pagings and signatures and/or with one or more poems omitted. The present Description based on the NYPL copy, in which the Lettre de Biblis and Lettre de Jean Calas are paged and signed separately and the Lettre de Sapho and Lettre de Gabrielle d'Etrées paged and signed continuously; BnF copy has each poem paged separately. Lettre de Gabrielle d'Etrées originally published under title: Gabrielle d'Estrées à Henri IV (Au Chasteau d'Anet [that is, France?] : [Publisher not identified], MDCCLXI [1761]). Illustrations: 4 prints : engravings with etching ; full-page. By J. Aliamet after H. Gravelot (Lettre de Biblis, Lettre de Sapho), J.F. Rousseau after Ch. Eisen (Lettre de Gabrielle d'Etrées), and E. de Ghendt after Eisen (Lettre de Jean Calas). -- Head- and tailpieces to each poem, engraved by Longueil (2), Ghendt (2), Massard (2) and Aliamet, all after Eisen, except tailpiece to "Lettre de Sapho," which is signed: P.P.
