The Image makers : a tribute to his mentor and to the film which inspired him to become a film-maker, Bergman's drama features a mesmerising performance by one of Sweden's greatest theatre actresses, Anita Björk. The drama takes as its principle theme the curse of alcoholic parents upon their offspring, which of course links it directly with The Phantom carriage. |
