With an additional title page, engraved, "An history of the ciuill warres of England betweene the two howses of Lancaster and Yorke .. Imprinted at London for Iohn Benson", signed "R E sculpsit", i.e. Renold Elstracke. The plate for the engraved title page was originally used in 1618 in "BaziliĆlogia". The title and imprint have been reworked, and the portraits of James I and Anne of Denmark in the ovals above the title have been replaced with portraits of Charles I and Henrietta Maria. With errata on leaf c4. Running title reads: The civill warres of England. "The fourth booke of the civill vvarres of England in the life of Henry the Sixth" (caption title) begins new pagination on 2A1r. |
