"Prefatory address," signed: "Countess de Valois de La Motte, " p. [v]-viii. "Justificatory pieces" ("Memorial concerning the house of Saint Remy de Valois" and spurious correspondence between the Queen Marie Antoinette and Cardinal Rohan): 48 pages at end. The authorship of Mme. de la Motte, with the reputed assistance of the journalist Serres de Latour and the ex-minister Calonne, is doubtful. cf.
