Abstract:The objective of this document is to present the preliminary findings of the study characterizing in-use TxDOT non-road diesel equipment emissions. This document presents literature reviews of emissions reduction technologies and emissions control measures practiced by state of Texas and other states, discusses selection of TxDOT non-road equipment and emissions reduction technologies for emissions testing, and shows preliminary results of in-use emissions of TxDOT diesel equipment using portable emissions measurement systems (PEMS). Emissions measurements and data comparison and analysis tasks are still ongoing, so that a stage for any recommendation or conclusion has not been reached.
