Together with Coleridge and Southey, Wordsworth is one of the "Lake Poets." Many of his poems revolve around themes of death, endurance, separation, and grief. Wordsworth was England's Poet Laureate from 1843 until his death in 1850. This film uses contemporary drawings and paintings, portraits, maps, and other archival material to describe the social and historical background of his writing.
