Melvin Purvis /

The FBI employed Melvin Purvis from 1927 until his resignation in 1935. As the Special Agent in Charge of the Chicago FBI Office, he was on the scene in 1934 when John Dillinger was killed and, as a result, received extensive publicity over the years.
