Description
Summary:Common Cause was the outgrowth from the Urban Coalition Action Council. This organization suggested that they wanted to end the Vietnam War on a scheduled timetable. They also wanted to aid the ending of poverty and race discrimination. They were looking for new solutions in housing, employment, education, health, consumer protection, environment, family planning, law enforcement, and the administration of justice. The FBI did not investigate this group. When the mailing explaining their agenda was sent out to numerous individuals, they in turn, reported them to the FBI. These individuals were advised that the FBI is an investigative agency of the Federal Government, and as such, neither makes evaluations nor draws conclusions as to the character or integrity of any organization, publication, or individual.
