Illustrations are on plates included in pagination. The Cushing Library/Kelsey Americana copy is no.248 and is signed by Carl Hertzog. One of the Cushing Library/Lowman/Book Design copies is inscribed to Al Lowman by Carl Hertzog, and contains a mockup of the case for the book, 4 sheets of unused endpaper, and a mailing envelope with a handwritten note to Al Lowman.
