Summary:	Overview and highlights from a RAND Initiative for Middle Eastern Youth (IMEY) conference held in Doha, Qatar, from March 14-16, 2007. Its purpose was to learn about progressive media programs in the Islamic world, in order to help U.S.-based policymakers better understand which messages and platforms are authentic and resonant within the Middle East. In addition, the conference sought to learn about the individuals that produce them and the context that they operate in. Finally, it sought to generate ideas on how to improve networking and cooperation with and among this emerging group of opinion leaders.
