"For this CD ... Raaf Hekkema arranged the suite Le rappel des oiseaux from Rameau's Pièces de clavessin [= Pieces for harpsichord] (1724). Likewise he based the suite La triomphante on the Nouvelles suites de pièces de clavecin (c. [1729]), with the exception of the Prélude, which comes from the Premier livre (1706). Additionally ... Jelte Althuis arranged five orchestral works by Rameau, forging them into the suite Les boréades"--Insert, page 5.
The 3rd work, La poule, also arranged from the Nouvelles suites de pièces de clavecin, approximately 1729; the 4th work principally arrangements of selections from Rameau's last opera, Les Borëades, except the 2nd movement, Ritournelle, which served originally as a prelude to act 3 of the opera Hippolyte et Aricie.
