Item Description:	Translation of an unknown Dutch original 'Plakaat' issued May 10, 1651, renewed and explained May 30, 1659, and related ordinances from 1748. "Instructions for the mates, against not rightly managing, sorting, salting and laying the herrings"--pages 21-24. Dated 10 June 1749. Also filmed as item number 8486. Item 8486 is identical, with the exception that the title page omits phrase, "Presented by Mr. Horsley." Reproduction of original from Goldsmiths' Library, University of London.
