The privy purse of His Majesty : considerably above 20 years has probably elapsed since what was called the privy purse, was given up to the people, and a stipulated sum by act of Parliament to the king, perhaps a public inquiry would show how much the Commissioners of Woods, Forests, and Land Revenue, have passed into the treasury in diminution of taxes.
