Description
Summary:The objectives of this two-year project are to define a framework for testing conformance to National Transportation Communications for ITS Protocol (NTCIP) standards, identify an approach to describe the extent to which testing is needed, and recommend the appropriate documentation for such testing activities. This second year report looks at the details of testing documentation, provides estimates for developing test procedures for the various NTCIP-conformant field devices, discusses how to apply the procedures to the TxDOT testing processes, and presents an outline for training classes. The main portion of the report concludes with some additional recommendations to establish a testing framework.
