The present edition is from Buckingham Smith's translation, first printed at Washington in 1851, made from the first part of the second Spanish edition printed at Valladolid, 1555, with title: La relacion y comentariõs del gouernador Aluar nuñez cabeca de vaca, de lo acaescido en dos jornadas que hizo a las Indias. Issued in slipcase. "300 copies of this Relation were printed at the Grabhorn Press in the fall of 1929 at San Francisco. The decorations were drawn & hand colored by Valenti Angelo"-- page [1] (1st sequence). The Cushing Library/Lowman/Book Design copy is number 93.
