Set includes various issues of some sheets, some reissued by U.S. Army map service, some by G.S.G.S., India command (Hind 1035) Some sheets issued by U.S. Army map service bear series designation: Provisional G.S.G.S. 4203 (Survey of India). Title from index map. Military grid. Elevations are indicated by contours with vertical interval of 50 feet, or by hachures and spot heights. Six classes of roads or paths with some mileage markers, two classes of internal boundaries, and some areas of cultivation are indicated. Based on maps published under the direction of the Surveyor General of Federated Malay states and Straits settlements Survey dept.
