Item Description:The calculations in the eclipse predictions and for the rising and setting of the moon are identical with those in Hutchins' new almanack for 1797, by John Nathan Hutchins, Jun., published at Newfield, Conn. Those for the sun have been adjusted for the New Jersey meridian. The astronomical notes on the calendar pages are a selection of those in the Connecticut almanac.
