Several earlier editions of this poem, with varying titles, were printed in America between 1720 and 1763. For the earliest recorded edition, cf. Bristol B575. Advertisement for "Bickerstaff's genuine Boston almanack for 1788" following imprint suggests a printing date late in 1787. Printed area, in four columns with a relief cut (Reilly 1189) at head of first column, measures 28.9 x 31.1 cm. Electronic resource. |
