| Item Description: | The astronomical notes and clock equations on the calendar pages duplicate those found in Beers's almanack and ephemeris for 1793, calculated by Andrew Beers and published at Hartford. There are several omissions and one addition. A few of their calculations differ by one or two minutes. and there are frequent misprints. The eclipse predictions appear to be by the same hand. The notes and clock equations are found also in Greenleaf's New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey almanack for this year, which is stated to be the work of Beers in the preface to the 1792 issue. Electronic resource. |
