Description
Item Description:Title within decorative border. Surrounding border: 12s. per groce. Calculations equal to Low's, or any other. 16d. per dozen. Bumstead's edition.
Apparently by Osgood Carleton. The calculations on the calendar pages are identical with the corresponding columns among those in Carleton's Almanack for 1796 (Boston: W.P. Blake), which devotes two pages to each month. The astronomical notes on the same pages correspond to those in Carleton's almanac, except that the latter has more of them and with frequent slight differences in the calculations here. The weather predictions on the same pages are generally parallel.
Identical in typography and contents, except for title page, with An astronomical diary: or Almanack, for 1796, by A. Weatherwise (Boston: same imprint with the omission of S. Hall and J. Boyle). Last page includes an advertisement by Bumstead.
Advertised by E. Larkin in the Independent chronicle, Boston, Nov. 12, 1795.
