The song on the death of General Wolfe was written by Thomas Paine between 1768 and 1774, and first printed in America in the March 1775, issue of the Pennsylvania magazine; cf. Hawke, David Freeman. Paine. New York, 1974, pages 15, 30. Use of the long "s" suggests imprint date before 1810. Relief cut at left of title. Printed area, in two columns separated by ornaments, measures 31.0 x 16.8 cm.
