By the Honorable Jonathan Trumbull, Esquire, governor of the English colony of Connecticut, in New-England, in America; a proclamation : Whereas it was resolved by the General Assembly ... that an embargo be laid upon the exportation out of this colony, of wheat, rye, Indian-corn, pork, beef, live cattle ... I do hereby strictly prohibit and forbid all persons from transporting ... any of the said articles ... Given under my hand in Lebanon ... this seventeenth day of August ... 1775.
