Item Description:The Indian gazette consists of ten engraved ideograms and pictographs relating to an expedition of Canadian warriors who took up arms for France against a hostile tribe which supported the English in the French and Indian War.
Another edition of the gazette with accompanying explanation was published by Isaiah Thomas in the May 1774 issue of his Royal American magazine. Cf. Thomas Isaiah. History of printing in America ... 2nd edition, 1874, v. II, pages 2, 11.
