A proclamation : Whereas the Great and General Court or assembly of this province now stands prorogued unto Wednesday the fifth of September next; which being a busy time of the year respecting the husbandry and other affairs ... it may be expected ... that I should further prorogue the said Court; But forasmuch as there are now matters of importance to be laid before the Court ... I have determined to meet the said Court upon the fifth day of September aforesaid ... Given under my hand at Boston, the tenth day of August 1753 ...
