A letter from the Reverend Mr. Thomas Clap, Rector of Yale-College at New-Haven, to a friend in Boston : setting forth the reasons why the world ought to give credit to what he declared when in Boston last; viz. that the Rev. Mr. Edwards of North-Hampton told him, that the Rev. Mr. Whitefield said in his hearing, that it was his design to turn the generality of the ministers in the country out of their places, and re-settle them with ministers from England, Scotland and Ireland.
