Description
Item Description:"Abraham Hutchins" is a pseudonym intended to exploit the popular reputation of the New York state calculator John Nathan Hutchins.
The actual calculator was Andrew Beers. The extensive astronomical and horological notes on the calendar pages are identical with those in his Beers's almanac and ephemeris for 1793, published at Hartford, except that most of the aspects are omitted. The ephemeris is identical throughout, and the eclipse predictions virtually so. About half the calendar page calculations are the same, the rest being adjusted slightly to reflect the difference in meridian between Hartford and New York.
The Anatomy is the only illustration.
