The breaking off of the Jews from their church-state, and the grafting in of the Gentiles ... : Written letter-wise to Mr. Isaac Backus, occasioned by his late answer to Mr. F----'s letter in favour of infant baptism.--In which answer Mr. Backus asserts that we construe the New Testament by the Old, in order to support infant baptism: but the reverse of that is shewn to be true. /

A second letter to Mr. Isaac Backus : upon the controversy concerning the proper subjects of baptism. Containing some remarks on his reply to the author's first letter on the subject, discovering said reply to be very lame and defective, as to justice and demonstration. : Also, herein is confuted, a leading and fundamental argument of his, on which his principles do, and must depend, viz. A supposition, or assertion, that that Covenant in 17th Gen. of which circumcision was appointed as a token, is, and ought to be excluded from the New-Testament referrences, when Abraham's Covenant, and the blessings thereof, are referr'd to as being spiritual. : With a remark upon Mr. Winchell's piece. /
