Advertised in the Independent chronicle, Boston, Dec. 2, 1779.
At the head of the January-August calendar pages is "Continuation of the heroic poem entitled America invincible, began last year.--(lately published by the printer hereof ...)," which was begun in Bickerstaff's Boston almanack for 1779 (Danvers: E. Russell) and issued separately by Russell in that year. Its serialization was continued through Russell's American almanack for 1781 and for 1782 and Bickerstaff's Boston almanack for 1782 and 1783 (Russell).
"A narrative of Col. Ethan Allen's captivity ..." is scattered over pages [12-20]. Despite the publisher's statement that it is "to be continued," the remainder is not found in Russell's subsequent almanacs.
