The calculations and notes on the calendar pages, and the eclipse predictions, are identical with those in Russell's American almanack for 1781 by Benjamin West (Danvers, Mass.). Advertised in the Boston gazette, Oct. 23, 1780. Metal cut portrait of George Washington, page [7], commonly attributed to Paul Revere. Cf. Brigham, Clarence. With one of two editions of the engraved frontispiece "A picturesque view of the state of Great Britain for 1780", distinguishable by the arrangement of the columns of the "Explanation".
