We have a shining and surprising example of this in the Cobler of Mesina, which happened in the last century ..." In the form of a parable, the Enthusiastic patriot tells the story of an honest man who, seeing corruption, unpunished crimes, and oppression, turns vigilante and commits fifty murders to avenge the innocent.
