The latter almanac is not the work of Nehemiah Strong, as it purports to be. The calculations and other astronomical materials on the calendar pages, and the eclipse predictions, are identical with those in Beers's almanack and ephemeris ... for 1797, by Andrew Beers (Hartford: Hudson & Goodwin), except that the lunations column in Beers's almanac has been merged with the aspects column. Advertised in the American intelligencer, West Springfield, Jan. 10, 1797. The Anatomy is the only illustration. Electronic resource. |
