| Item Description: | Entered by Evans under the publishers, Thomas and John Fleet, who are named in the 1789, 1791, and 1794-96 issues as editors of the Register. The almanac was possibly calculated by Nathanael Low, the apparent author of the almanacs in this series. The wording of the eclipse predictions resembles that in his An astronomical diary or almanack for 1782 (also published by Fleet), but here and in the calendar pages the calculations vary. The preface page [2], says of the weather predictions: "If it does not come to pass accordingly, the fault must be laid upon the printers, who, it is very like, may have transposed, or misplaced it, for the conveniency of putting in their remarkable days; and as some people give them part of the credit of compiling the almanack, so it is but reasonable they should take some of the blame."
