Description
Item Description:Identical in content and typography with Coverly's 1793 almanacs under the same title having as authors "Richard Astrologer" and "Abraham Weatherwise", except that the epigram at the foot of page [24] of the Weatherwise edition is in larger type.
Similarly identical, except for pages [19-21], the foot of page [24], and the verses at the head of the calendar pages, with Coverly's other almanacs for this year: The Massachusetts, Connecticut, Newhampshire, Rhode-Island, and Vermont almanack, and The Rhode-Island, and Vermont Almanack, and The Rhode-Island, Connecticut, Newhampshire, Massachusetts, and Vermont almanack, both having as author "Isaac Bickerstaff."
Attributed to Benjamin West by Evans, who so attributes most almanacs issued under the Bickerstaff pseudonym.
Calculated by Samuel Bullard. The eclipse predictions and the calendar page calculations are identical with those in his An almanack for the year of Christian aera 1793 (Boston : B. Edes). The notes on the calender pages vary in part; but the astronomical and horological ones agree, except that these occur somewhat more abundantly in the present almanac.
