| Item Description: | "Anthony Sharp" is a pseudonym found only in the almanacs published by Bailey. Erroneously attributed by Evans to David Rittenhouse. Except for the times of the sun's rising and setting, the calculations and astronomical notes on the calendar pages contain no resemblances to those in Father Abraham's almanack for 1778 (Philadelphia), which names Rittenhouse as its calculator. Advertised in the Pennsylvania packet, Lancaster, Dec. 10, 1777. Electronic resource. |
