| Item Description: | Asserted by Evans to be the work of Ezra Gleason. However, compared with the North-American almanack for 1776, by Samuel Stearns (Boston and Worcester), the calculations are found to be identical throughout. The eclipse notes are a briefer version with some slight variations in the wording. The notes on the calendar pages are closely similar and clearly by the same hand.
