Summary:The atlas shows the geographical distribution of global catches (by weight) of principal market tuna species and some billfishes. Maps are divided into three sections, each associated with a major fishing gear (longline, pole and line and purse seine). For 1993, 1994 and 1995, the distribution of annual catches is presented separately for each year. To show a historical perspective, the distributions are also shown for 1964-1966, 1974-1976, and 1984-1986.
