The MAP and EMP are funded by the U.S. Congress to aid trade associations in opening and developing foreign markets. Partial matching funding has been provided by the Oregon Seed Council, Oregon Department of Agriculture, and Oregon State University. ... Co-directors of the project are David Hannaway and Christopher Daly. Their areas of expertise are plant and soil sciences, extension and web-based information systems; and climatology, meteorology, geography, and ecology, respectively.
