A person who flatters himself the methods of treatment, recommended by an humane society, for the recovery of persons apparently drowned, if more generally known, might save many lives : causes the following abridgement of them to be dispersed through the county of Sussex, and hopes that some of them will be fixed up in vestry-rooms, at public-houses, in servants halls, and such places as will make them most generally known.

Serious thoughts on sudden death : A poem, occasioned by the drowning of six men by the overseting [as printed] of a boat in Lake Champlain, near Split Rock, about twenty miles below Crown-Point. There were eight persons in the boat when it overset, but two saved their lives by keeping to the boat.
