pt. 1. The volume of a constant mass of CO2 confined in a tube immersed in a bath held at 0 degrees Centigrade is measured as a function of the pressure exerted by a column of mercury behind the gas. pt. 2. Additional pV isotherms are measured for CO2 both below and above the critical temperature.
