Summary:In 1972 Mark Moskowitz read a New York Times book review of "The stones of summer" by Dow Mossman and bought the book. Twenty-five years later, Moskowitz finally read it and was amazed at its ingenuity. Looking for other works by the author, he found no mention of either Mossman or his novel, which was long out of print. Determined to solve the mystery, Moskowitz embarks on a project to find the forgotten author and solve the publishing mystery of how so many great books of literature, and great authors, just disappear.
