Additional significant contributors include: the Earl of Chesterfield, Richard Owen Cambridge, Horace Walpole (who also wrote the concluding supplement, A World Extraordinary), Soame Jenyns, Edward Lovibond, John Boyle the Earl of Orrery and Cork, his son the Hon. Hamilton Boyle, and Sir Charles Hanbury Williams. Forty-one of the 209 papers have no assigned author.
Includes title page vignette of a globe.
Some issues have cuts of a writer looking over his shoulder at the globe at the head of the caption title. Number 1-6 have printers' ornaments at head, indicating first printing (Cf. Winship).
Title and issue number repeated as running title in each issue.
