Remarks on Mr. Thomas Chubb's vindication of his ture Gospel of Jesus Christ : In the order following: Sect. I. Remarks on his proof of Elias's prayer being an angry prayer, from its suitableness to the Jewish dispensation; which he says, seems at least, to countenance persecution. Sect. II. On his scheme as destructive of the credit of the sacred writers.-His true Gospel but a part of the true Gospel.-the divine inspiration of the sacred writers supported. Sect. III. His vindication of his shor dissertation on providence consider'd. Sect. IV. an examination of his new scheme of prayers; which scheme is shewn to be evidently form'd upon his plan of providence, and contradictory to his notion of prayer in his tracts, to which he refers. [B]y C. Fleming. Author of the Remarks on Mr. Thomas Chubb's short dissertation on providence, and his true Gospel of Jesus Christ asserted.

And published to give warning to all protestants through Britain and Ireland, of the damnable errors and cruelty of popery, and of the dreadful danger and tendency of the present insurrection in its favours. An examination of Mr. Chubb's discourse on miracles : Containing, Sect. I. An enquiry into his definitions. Sect. II. His first principle in his VIIth sect. demonstrated to be false, and beside the question. Sect. III. His 2d, 3d, and 4th principles in the same sect. proved subversive of found theism, and to lay a foundation for every kind of superstition. Sect. IV. His 5th principle proved inconsistent with the moral character of God-both false and impious. Sect.V. His 8th sect. examined, and something offered to moderate and allay the triumphs of some gentlemen, upon this his wonderful performance. Sect. VI. His demand of universality, in favour of revelation vouched for by miracles, shewn to be absurd and unreasonable. Sect. VII. The grand objection to a revelation, from its not being universally made known, considered. Sect. VIII. Remarks upon Mr. Chubb's reasonings; in which an answer to above objection is given upon his own principles, and from which the receiver of the Christian revelation is fully justified, and the rejecter thereof absolutely condemn'd. Address'd to Mr. Thomas Chubb. By a Layman.
